An article in the NYT on the Civil War museum in Richmond quotes "B. Frank Earnest, a past commander of the Virginia division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans."
B Frank Earnest.
This might not be so funny to me if my father hadn't been so fond of a joke about two maggots fighting in dead Ernest.
B Frank Earnest
Honestly.
I'm stuck on hold with Comcast. I've had to explain the problem twice now, same as when I called about it two weeks ago. Their departments do not coordinate very well. Now she's telling me I should have been sent to Customer Service instead of Tech Support, which is no surprise, since I asked the woman in Billing if she was sure Tech Support could help me with equipment I no longer have.
I hate Comcast. They are better than they used to be, but that's scant praise. They are still the devil; moving a few circles higher up in hell doesn't make them all fun now.
So I had high hopes of doing something with my day, but it turns out, not so much. Saw my father, watched TV. Will pick up the CSA in a bit. Maybe I can put in a load of laundry?
Those are something.
I managed actual work for about half the day and I picked up the cats from boarding. I have 1 hour to try and refocus and get a few more things off my desk.
Timelies all!
Tired, because a certain feline has decided to yowl at our door too freakin' early two days in a row. Good thing she's cute...
I need to go take shower #2 before friends come over for porch drinks. I got all scratched up and sweaty from dog walking/berry picking just now. Think I'll make a berry rum smash for our porch drinks!
Burrell, I totally still eat that way...no crashes, no hanger
I have been slacking on the work-work more than usual when I work from home. But, car is maintained, dog is walked, hair is cut, lunch is eaten and groceries are ordered for pick up in a couple hours (all the stuff I somehow did't realize I needed when I went grocery shopping day before yesterday. After I made a list and had a roughed out menu plan for the week. Sigh). And I'm not super tense, which is nice.
Also, not completely my fault. The ERP was inaccessible for a while after lunch and other people are not getting me everything I need to do my regular work. The special projects I would normally apply my downtime to are just much easier to work on at the office.
Think I'll make a berry rum smash for our porch drinks!
That sounds lovely.
Thank goodness, we've moved into the crudite portion of the CSA. Dinner tonight is kohlrabi, carrot, radish, broccoli, all just raw. With dip! There will need to be salad later, but not today! ("Not today, Satan!")
