When we landed here you said you needed a few days to get space worthy again and is there somethin' wrong with your bunk?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I will try to write a few more thank you cards tonight.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm being a sadist (autocorrect wanted to turn that into "daisy") and listening to RL horror stories on YT. I've never been happier that under my bed is packed with shit only my cats can wiggle through, and that my drop-down steps to my attic are so squeaky there's no hope of of a sneak attack. There's even a special karate chop to make them work right. My defense of my messy apartment is that it is a highly elaborate alarm system. Yeah, step on an abandoned cat toy and try to stay silent bitch!

/has stepped on that cat toy and is finally throwing shit out.

I like the "striped eyelet dress". But you could get one of the others if you want to re-wear to work or something. I feel like teal eyelet is a compromise--warm weather design, cooler weather color?

Also, eshakti could be an option?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Argh, the groceries I thought I ordered to be delivered today are actually scheduled for next Wednesday. Dammit! No shrimp cocktail tomorrow for me.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Thanks to meara talking about it, I got a massage at the airport today. Ahhhh, decadence.

I have another hour to kill before my flight so it is dinner at the bar with a book. Wheee.

That sounds really nice.

My dinner won't be ready until about 8pm. So late! I am subpar on keeping myself fed this week.

ETA and that was before I realized I completely omitted the breadcrumbs and egg from my meatloaf. Ah well, maybe it will hold together. And maybe I will turn it into katleti. Either way, will probably taste pretty good. Eventually.

Maybe I will stop trying to accomplish things for today.

Today, I continued my streak of breaking things in ops that never should have made it through test. Sigh.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

It's so warm in my apartment that my knees are sweating, so I'm not sure what I'm having for dinner since my hot food options are unappealing now.

It's just exhausting. And everyone gets mad at you (for pointing out their lack of foresight, for not being prescient, for bogging everything down because of all in a very public manner,) but luckily I have a thick skin. And have been very diplomatic in pointing out the flaws in the system design that have serious implications.

As we look at changes coming end of September that make those system design changes really problematic.

All because test does not even begin to mimic ops in terms of true volume(s) and this is a bugaboo we've had since... 1991. Never been listened to. One lesson we can't get the mission to learn.
