"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Just heard my husband saying to his headhunter, "I'd relocate if it was a really good job."

Better not be Saudi Arabia again...

How about "I'd relocate if it was a really good location."

Okay, I am trying to buy a dress for my brother's wedding, which is in October in Dallas, at an historic house event space-y place. The problem is I am really tall, and also, I discover, insanely fussy. Not a lot of places make dresses that fit me. Here are things I'm thinking about:

I know the tweed is not wedding-y, but I like the cut and the colors. There is also a tipped version in blue. [link]

Not loving the colorblock, but I love the blue. This is also wool, but maybe not as office-y looking? [link]

I feel like I ought to like this, but I sort of - don't. Also, none of the colors are good for me. [link]

Kinda meh on this one: [link]

Love the drape, but this is clearly not a wedding guest dress: [link]

Maybe too much bosom for me? [link]

Ditto. [link]

Thoughts?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I like the blue colorblock

I think the one with the scalloped neckline is the most wedding-y.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The blue is my favorite.

I also tried this on in Macy's and it looks nice. But it feels sort of office-y and boring. And like, middle-aged. Which I am, but. [link]

It looks pretty, flea.

May I offer some Modcloth suggestions (these were all in their longer length category):

Grey pattern: [link]

Blue sheath w. Flowers: [link]

Bit of a retro silhouette (also comes in red) : [link]

Navy Sheath with bow: [link]

Did I mention that I called in sick today because the night roadwork by my house has me sleep deprived and utterly exhausted? I slept until noon and have been just been flaked on the couch all afternoon.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I like the floral and the origami sheath the best, but they all look like the sort of dresses that look really different once they are on you, so it's hard to say.

Also is it just me, or that forest green dress another one of those What color is this dress? dresses? It looks teal to me in every one of those photos, not forest green. Maybe my eyes are broken.

Ooo Sue, those are also nice. I especially like the All is Palm dress.
