Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

That sounds like a good schedule.
It's not like there's anything to do around here on Sundays. I'm always boggled when people talk about all the errands they run to non-retail places on Sundays.
My office has a thing where, during the summer, you can choose to either come in late on Monday or leave early on Friday (not both, mind you). I did the late Monday and, while it's nice to be able to sleep late that day, coming in to a torrent of "urgent" things accumulated during those four hours is not worth it.
And, in the annals of laziness, I think someone hit a new record. We gave up on getting people to make a new pot of coffee when they took the last of the pot; getting them to turn off the warmer under the empty or almost empty pot is a lost cause. Today, I went by the kitchen and heard an ominous beeping - someone had walked off and left the refrigerator door open.
Timelies all!
Ended up having to make a detour this morning. Gary drops the little guy off at daycare in the morning, and I pick him up after work. After they had left this morning I was in the kitchen making breakfast when I saw that the bottles with formula were still in the fridge.(The center doesn't provide meals until the child starts eating regular food.) Had to run them up to the center. Ended up getting to work late.
At least he didn't forget the baby.(sleep dep will get you eventually)
My CSA finally started giving me corn! So that's dinner. We also got an enormous amount of tomatoes, due to the recent hot weather, I guess.
I've realized what's kind of unsatisfying about the CSA to me -- it's all basic stuff. On one level, that's good -- I know what to do with all of this stuff. But on another level, it's mass quantities of (eg) cabbage and onions, and maybe I would have liked some bok choy or tomatillos!
-t! Apparently calendar-based foods are a Thing in Sweden! [link]
And for the trifecta: I called my work EAP today! And they were essentially unhelpful, but I explored! And in the process, realized I might want a therapist closer to my office than my house, for getting-there-after-work purposes. I just don't see doing therapy at any other time.
One-star reviews of national parks:
Ahahahaha these are amazing! One of them begins with an actual non-ironic "Thanks, Obama"!! But I think my favorite is the person who went to Haleakala to see the sunrise and gave it one star because it was cloudy that morning.

Oh, geez, that's disappointing. But you did it! That's progress, itself.
I had a little crying jag on the phone with my boss this afternoon. Apparently that was enough to make her realize I really do need help, which I finally got. I am also, at her suggestion, taking the next three days off as sick days to "go visit my sister". But! hey, I can take my laptop with me! because there's still X and Y to do! and so I still will be working on my mental-health break from work.
I think my boss has been working here so long she's forgotten what it means to go away from work. It's like Stockholm Syndrome almost.
One of my lifeguards spotted me at Druid last week; turns out he likes to swim outside a few days a week there in the summer too! He's also a daily swimmer.
Failed at calling roofer today. Partly too much going on, partly phone hate. I've scheduled it tomorrow. But the totally wrong shipment people finally got back to me and are shipping me new and I don't have to return the wrong stuff. See if any of my neighbors can use it.
