Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Thanks, Hil; I really appreciate the pointers!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I got myself a quick-drying mat to stack drying pots, pans, non-dishes, overflow from my dish rack, and I'm pretty happy with it. Used to use towels but they pretty soggy pretty fast.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have been stacking everything on the counter, because I threw away my dishrack! But now that I went to buy one, it seems silly, because I have one dish! Maybe I should just get one of those dish mat things-- we never had a dish rack growing up because we had to dry them.

What is this quick drying mat? Maybe that is what I need!

If I washed dishes everyday, I wouldn't need a dishrack. But I generally have several forks and a couple of plates and bowls. I microwave a lot of left overs.

I am trying to wash as I go, to combat the horrible problem of not washing dishes for several weeks and then having things growing in my sink. So I actually boxed up most of my dishes, and have just enough for one meal and wash while my coffee is brewing or wash the pots and pans as I go along. Right now I cook almost every night, and take the leftovers for lunch.

Or on top of the dishes if there aren't a lot in the dishrack.

Oh, yeah. If there aren't a lot of dishes in the rack, I can slide a sauce pan in there, or perch a pot on top of the bowls. Or sometimes I just dry the pot/pan as soon as I wash it, so I can put it back in the pantry and get it out of the way.

wash while my coffee is brewing

Invariably, I wash the previous night's dishes while my oatmeal is cooking.

That's smart Sophia. Let me try to remember where I got my mat and see if I can google up something similar.
