My boss told me to create a SQL Server function that determines the start and end dates of Daylight Saving Time, given the year. I figured that someone on the internet must have written such a function, and I was right.

As I recall from the Cheaper By the Dozen memoir, that was the first thing the father did when he came to factory as an efficiency expert. He'd ask to see the laziest worker and he'd see how he set up his station so he expended the least amount of energy.

I have actually been told I have the right mindset for a programmer by programmers! Of course, there are people at my work who can't use mail merge and re-type labels and letters for large mailings.

I totally say that all the time in my head! And sometimes out loud, exactly ala CE.

Guilty here, too. It comes in handy when I feel like a thwarted toddler. AKA, ALWAYS.
