I'm so sorry, Maria. How hard for his family, left thinking if they had only tried harder, when the odds are there was nothing they could do.
I just drove away from a drive through for the first time in ... ever? It was pouring rain and something was wrong with the intercom. I waited and waited, and when they finally asked for my order, they didn't have what I wanted. I tried to order something else, but I couldn't tell if they got the order or not. I decided to go on to the window, but when I went around the corner there were four cars ahead of me, and I could not even. Now I feel guilty.
Then I went somewhere else where I thought the cashier said "$7.02." I gave her 7.02 and she gave me 4 pennies back. I was too baffled to process this, so I took my food and went on. The actual bill was for $7.06.
I'm so confused.
I am so sorry, Maria. That is just horrible, all the way around.
Weird, Ginger. I guess she thought you gave her 2 nickels instead of two pennies?
Bailed on the massage. Which was only ever a vague idea in my head, to a plan or appointment or anything, so "bailed" may not be the right word. Not getting one, in any case.
I'm so glad my department has a "dammit doll" I can throttle when people are being stupid.
So sorry, Maria. That's just awful.
Off to the airport for a flight to Kansas.
Cool. I'm in Kansas right now!
I am so sorry Maria. My thoughts with you and your family.
Managed to get a 15 minute massage at the airport chair massage place. That was nice. But I'd rather like, a two hour massage and a nap...The good news is tomorrow if I manage to stay awake in having dinner with an old coworker who lives in Colorado but is in town at the same time I am!
