They should film that story and show it every Christmas.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Bleargh, the insomnia fairy came to visit me, too. No run this morning, as a result. I shall have to try to hit the gym at lunch...

I am proud I managed to get up early as planned (not that early, but 6AM is early, for me) since I'll be on Central time the rest of the week and having to be up at ridiculous hours. I did not manage to go to the gym with that time, but I wasn't trying real hard on that part.

Now to try to get some work done before I have to head to the airport...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay better.

I completely failed to go the gym all weekend. It was a golden opportunity. Oh well. I did okay exercising, actually, just not in going to the gym.

I think my general sens of well-being today stems from getting over 7 hours of sleep for several nights in a row. It's awesome. Sorry if I've been bogarting the good sleep.

Punishingly Intricate

Argh! Phone stopped charging. It's less than a year old. So annoying the technology.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So I was out of town from Friday morning until Sunday afternoon. I leave my cat alone all the time when I'm out of town for a few days, but Anna insisted on checking up on Squeaky while I was gone. So when I got back yesterday I found several pages of "Squeaky's diary," where Squeaky describes dealing with the strange woman who kept on coming over to feed and pet and brush her and feed her treats. The "diary" was very funny and well-written.

Squeaky didn't like Anna at all when she was over a week ago, so Anna went out of her way to get Squeaky to like her, and it sounds like she succeeded. Once Anna couldn't find Squeaky, so to help Squeaky get used to her she stuck around and did my dishes, cleaned the stove and threw out some moldy bread in my fridge.

I find the whole thing very endearing, so now I'm crushing on her even more.

Well, if they like your cat, they're probably a keeper.

Aw, tommyrot, that's terrific!

I am approved to work from home tomorrow. Whew. I'll be dropping my car off at the garage in the morning, walking home, working remotely, getting my hair cut (salon is in between my house and the garage), and picking up my car whenever it ready. Trying to work out getting rides or riding my bike seemed really hard around all that.

Next time I make an appointment to get my car worked on, I should look at my calendar BEFORE I say, "yeah, Tuesday's fine".

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Shoot, I'm crushing on Anna, too. She sounds awesome.
