I, of course, forgot that I needed to get gas this morning. Fortunately, the light came on to remind me before I was too far down the road to work (and went off again) - put in $5 worth at the nearest station which should be enough to get me to my preferred brand. Only a little late for work.
Mr. Holmes was excellent, and dinner afterwards was very good (especially hearing all about my parents recent trip up to my sister's) and the decaf espresso with whipped cream that I had for dessert was delicious, but my to do list really took a hit and then I didn't sleep well (decaf espresso, still too much caffeine for evening-t? Probably) so today is going to be rough. Maybe I will have a more positive outlook after a cup of coffee...
The problem with getting up super early (for me) is that I'm starving and it's not even 9:30. I ate stuff! What the hell, body?!
Your stomach is still in Chicago.
Early breakfast leads to second breakfast, IME.
Timelies all!
My eldest nephew is getting bar mitzvahed this month.(In Israel, so Gary and I are not attending) Time flies...

I have stuff I could and probably should be doing, but I don't have any fires to put out at the moment, so I am enjoying the lull while it lasts.
Caffeine has failed me. I've had as much tea as my tummy can handle, and I'm still close to falling asleep and drooling on my keyboard.
Oh man, I want a nap. I really need to get my iron levels checked.
My son has started his EMT class and he was so excited when he got home last night. There are only 9 people in the class and he said the instructor is wonderful and snarky. I'm really looking forward to him having a good school experience.
Tonight he graduates out of the search and rescue program. He can still participate in some of the missions as a graduate, but it isn't the same.
I'm enjoying a day full of my very favorite work task, dealing with image permissions red tape. Ah well, at least I got the info for the really nightmarish fine art permissions last year, so I'm just re-using those figures in the current report.
