Occasionally I’m callous and strange

{{{{Laura}}}} and 'may it just get done already'~ma Connie. Packing for moving gives me massive anxiety just thinking about it, I'd rather give a TED talk on a subject about which I know nothing that even consider packing up my house. *shudder* I've told P that if we ever move, to force me to go away for a week and save up for professional movers.

Erin, the one time I had movers it was amazing.

I am getting sick, and went to bed early...and woke up at midnight and have been tossing and turning ever since. Wtf body! I'm TRYING to give you the healing sleep you need!

I'm sorry Laura. Fingers crossed for your mom.

Yesterday we had a big extended family get-together at my aunt's in Missouri for Dad's 80th birthday, an uncles's 65th, our hosts' 45th anniversary, and a cousin's imminent first baby. Was great to see everyone, much fun and good visiting time was had. Though we started off with me oversleeping and things snowballed from there to make us more than an hour late (thus cementing my family's reputation for tardiness).

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

He actually rides a skateboard to work.

Oy. Well, better youthful awkwardness than some skeevy guy.

I haven't even heard of High Maintenance! So many shows now.

I'd rather give a TED talk on a subject about which I know nothing

I would watch that talk!

(thus cementing my family's reputation for tardiness).

Gotta keep up the rep!

Our wings are not tired.

Still hanging out in ICU. Three of us stayed all night with Mom. It is very close and we are just trying to keep her here until my sister from NY arrives tonight. Wide variances in opinions from doctors and nurses whether that is at all possible. We are at peace with whatever happens, but it is very difficult.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

All the love in my heart for you and your family, Laura.

Lots of people are there with you in spirit, Laura.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I haven't even heard of High Maintenance! So many shows now.

It's "about" a pot dealer, but it's really about these little glimpses into various people's lives. It's sometimes funny, sometimes weird, sometimes a little awful.

I know a couple of actors on High Maintenance, and a big chunk of the show is filmed within a ten-block radius of my home.
