I'm so glad I took a bunch of days off. I really didn't think about work. I actually have energy to deal with stuff. and the stuff that has been bugging me.

Dear Boss people - shit is going to move Fast! I've been too tired to be full force - but it is here.

The socktober situation is getting a little dire. I didn't count before I started ... may need to go store soon.

Starting my day with prediction pages gets better every day. [link] Also loving the blue tints for Arizona, Iowa, and Ohio. [link] I have to stock up on booze for the debate tonight though. I shouldn't watch, but I know I will. It won't be pretty. The desperation level and lack of regard for our country by Trump is reaching new levels.

I'll be watching too, unless I crash early from The Crud like last night. I know it will be a useless shitshow, but I'm reluctantly fascinated.

Heart sang "Stairway to Heaven" at ... the Kennedy Center Honors, maybe? Something like that, for the band, and Robert Plant was teary by the end. It was pretty special. (I actually don't mind "Stairway," though.)

It's almost too warm for socktober here! I don't know how you're doing it, hippocampus. Great socks, though. I clearly need to up my game.

I'm getting a massage after work, and I refuse to undo all its good by watching the debate. It would be straight up wasting money. But thanks for the links to the map, Laura. It just gets prettier and prettier.

Matt, I'm glad the concert was good. Heart provided the soundtrack for some very important stages in my life, and it's nice to know they're still kicking.

Can I say how good it was to see Lee and shrift? They are the first Buffistas to visit me in Melbourne (I did catch up with meara in Sydney lo these many years back), and the first to meet Biyi and Ryan. I hope the rest of your trip is as good.

I started doing socktober because my back, left knee & right hip have gone all crazypants & annoying (thank you childhood orthopediacs Drs. Jeckyll & Hyde) and I needed something to look at during PT that would cheer me up, but about 1 day into it, I realized it could be useful too... so every time I post socks, I set aside a new pair to go to the shelter. A couple of other people are doing it also, so hopefully it will help with winter coming (supposedly).

I need to make it 9 more days. I've got my Halloween socks already, and I have today's and tomorrow's. I am hoping Atomic sells socks :D.
