So much ~ma for your dad, Brenda. I'm sending all the good thoughts and vibes your way.
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I need six more hours in today. Maybe seven. And someone to nap for me because I don't have time to do that and I'm tired.
I should have taken today off after my ridiculous busy weekend with very little sleep. But we have a big deadline coming up. But I thought I could work from the hotel lobby but it wants to charge me for Internet. So maybe I will go to the airport very early??
Sending all the ~ma for your dad, brenda, and hugs and support for you and your sister. I hope he's better today.
I went to Old Navy today and actually found a cute pair of pants on sale, plus a sweater on clearance, and a hat I can hack for my Madeline costume for $0.49 -- and they couldn't take cash. Because they broke their safe (?!) and therefore didn't actually have cash drawers.
It was a good deal, and I want the things, but since I don't have a card to use, I have to go back, which sort of takes the shiny off it all.
A gov't contracts person turned children's singer in my town calls himself the Pied Piper of [my town]. He maybe never read the end of the story. Or he was too stupid to understand it. The DH and I, when we got stuck going to a performance, used to bet on how many songs he'd forget the words to and have to begin again.
I should probably go back to doing real work, and not reading my neighborhood email.
On phone with: mortgage company, who slapped me with a $15 fee they said I agreed to. Spoiler: I did not agree.
Already talked to today: Likely current mover, who is being a pain in the ass, and potential new mover. The result: a driver coming to my house tomorrow at 7AM. Sigh.
I just got the confirmation call for the movers for tomorrow. Cut the dread!
Hooray, Connie! For the movers, not the dread. There will be hiccups, but the end result will be the same. A new space, all your own.
Monday needs to stop being so damned Monday-like. Why can't it pretend to be more like a Friday every once in a while?
Lucky update: She's home, and doing amazingly well. Right now she's on BP meds, and we'll re-evaluate in a week. Her eyes are still super dilated, but neither one of us is noticing a substantial neurological deficit at this point. She's moving a little bit slowly, and has stumbled once or twice, but that's the extent of it. Thank you so much for the ~ma. It's powerful stuff.
Yay Connie!
After 3 days of rain, it's nice to sit I the sun and eat my lunch.
Connie, your move is so exciting! I can't wait for you to be settled into your new place, chilling with a book and some wine on the porch.
Lucky update: She's home, and doing amazingly well.
Yay, kitty! That's great news, Maria.
