I think I'm going to turn the heat on so I can put Madam President on my toes. Even though apparently my "most efficient" neighbors used like a quarter as much gas as I did last year. I mean, there could be an apartment a quarter the size of mine, but the gas company does not indicate.

Steph, my brain is like that all the time! The other day I was standing in the office wondering what to have for dinner, and the oven dinged to remind me that I was already in the middle of making chicken pasta. Forgot it that quick.
Short, salt and pepper, seems to have won! I'll go to a stylist this week for a cut, and have them dye it back to its natural color, and then I'll let it grow out.
Short salt & pepper FTW! I've been considering toning down from all-over color to just streaks, so I can find out what my natural color even is these days.
Has anyone ever sold a totaled car for salvage? Is there a better way to recycle a totaled car?
(Everyone is FINE by the way. Except the car, which was 15 years old anyway and not a huge financial loss except we weren't planning to replace it this year. Also the guy who hit it may not have insurance, so that's EXTRA FUN.)
I take it the car doesn't drive anymore? Because yeah, if you can't donate it, I'd sell for salvage
It can't be driven, and the quote for repairs we got from the mechanic was about twice the KBB value. I haven't done the research yet if there's an earth-friendly way to get rid of a car, other than salvage. (Damnit, the battery's less than two years old!! It had less than 90k miles!!)
Oh no. So sorry. And most importantly glad everyone is safe.
Sorry, Jess. I have sold for salvage several vehicles. In theory I could have donated for reef buildup or something, but I just took the $500 in hand. 3 were vehicles wrecked by one kid! Ah, parenting.
We sold our dead car for salvage (it threw a rod). We got like $300, but.

We donated 2 cars that weren't drivable and took the tax write-off (and didn't have to deal with getting the cars anywhere). My car was only a couple of hundred but we wrote off Bob's car for a fair bit.
