Glad to hear that, Sheryl!
Bah on all of that, msbelle.
We had quite the spread for lunch. I will probably not need dinner, and have a couple of pieces of leftover chicken for a meal tomorrow, and the sandwich I bought, so even less danger of me starving than usual (threat level going from like 0.5 to -2 or something)
New bed delivery--10/15 (probably). Actual moving of stuff--10/18. Pickup of junk furniture--10/19. Clean up of leftovers--to the end of the month.
Severing of ties to old place, as planned--Halloween.
Excellent plan, Connie.
We had to move once on Halloween night - new place wasn't ready until then & old lease was up. That was weird. We didn't have much stuff at the time so it wasn't too bad, but it was a strange experience
I moved to Boston on Halloween! Did I also move to Queens on Halloween? Possibly.
I've been wanting to do this at the turning of the year. A little ritual at the old place, a little ritual at the new place after midnight to tie everything off.
Got the bed moved over lunch (more than) hour. Had help loading it, but unloaded into my garage by myself. A full-sized mattress is wobbly.
Mutant hand is carpal tunnel AND arthritis. Yay? No, I mean boo.
Ugh, Dana. Anything they can do for you?
Yeah, I have to get a test on the nerve function to see if they'd recommend a brace or surgery. Now is a super-convenient time for surgery, of course.
