This was a complete non-surprise for me. I was not able to take them when I was younger because when I tried them I went to a deep black place. It took more than one try before I made the connection. Then decades later when a doctor suggested I try hormone replacement for menopause I discovered real quick that it caused serious depression. Messing with hormones is not good, at least for me.
