I was reflecting on why my last vacation was so relaxing and why I'd prefer a staycation than going a couple hrs out to b&b or whatever(I love being in my house) and realized I've never felt so suburban mom than when I was driving the nephews & brother around. I know it had me giggling at the time. Me, driving my mom's gold crv, boys in the back, "imma pull this car over", their pop soundtrack choice, my brother and I discussing home repair misadventures. It was just weird. Comfortable, but weird.

That is very suburban mom! I felt that way a bit when I was driving my kiddoes down to Phoenix. Now, mind you, I was doing it because the sixteen year old had just become a father and his baby was in icu, and his brother was along for the ride because his mother who was supposed to go had gotten drunk and belligerent, and I had to get special passage because I was picking them up in the middle of Bloods territory. But you know, other than that! No, but really, it felt really comfortable and fun driving those guys around and feeding them and listening to music and making stupid jokes and talking about life lessons and stuff. So I know what you mean.
Exciting news for Gracie!
Work is eating me from my bottom and my top. I have no more talky.
Hah! Yeah, some things remain the same in certain roles.
ION, I'm not sure what made me think getting up to work out halfway through a stout was going to be a good idea, but it wasn't.
So, y'all, you know I've been talking for a decade and a half about songwriting and not doing shit about it and then during sabbatical finally got off my ass and took a bunch of songwriting classes? Well, when those ended I basically sulked for two weeks, but I am back! I had my first cowriting session today with this girl in Brazil, and it was not a disaster! Yay songwriting!
Boy, there are a bunch of annoyed jillifonts in my house. I've been breaking down boxes that haven't moved in a while, revealing new sections of rooms to the air and light. So critters try to set up shop in what they thought was a nice quite place to catch a bug or to, only to discover part of their architecture was a thing that moved regularly.
Eventually, there's only going to be very few protected places, and they're going to go Battle Royale on each other, then discover that all the food sources have disappeared as well. Such is my grand scheme.
ION, I had a craving for chicken korma and garlic naan, so I headed out to see if I could get into my favorite Indian place. Nope, the city decided to have a street carnival on the block right in front. Annoyed but determined, I headed up a couple of miles to another place that had good reviews. Very, very tasty. Not quite as good as my preferred place, by that place has appalling parking, and new place is in a strip mall with lots of parking. I love you guys, India Palace, but if I can't get to you I can't give you money.
A new BBQ food truck opened by my apartment in what is going to become a food court, so I tried it for lunch today. Tasty, but they leave the bones in the rib sandwich while also soaking the bread in enough BBQ sauce that reassembling the sandwich after de-boning it is basically impossible. I can't imagine that anyone would order this thing a second time, and Heaven help whoever orders it to eat on the go rather than in a place with plates, forks, and lots of napkins.
I am also a bit disgruntled that the patriotic whirligig I bought in Eureka Springs disappeared after only two days in one of my building's flag brackets.
Lee, I'm not seeing where to leave a review. There's no box of anything under the recipe. Just other people's reviews.
Sorry I wasn't around to answer, but glad other people were. It did that to me on my home computer, but not at work. Weird
Just learned that someone got robbed and stabbed in the chest less than five houses away from our place a few weeks ago at 9:30 pm. Won’t lie...this has me shaken.
