"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sheryl, how are all of you doing? Can you send out your folks to grab take-out or prepared market meals while they're here and bring them back to you and the little guy?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Scratch the word "newborn" above. Didn't go out to eat with a newborn, but went out with a baby fairly often.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My mom took me to a cocktail party at about 1 week old. Ah, the 70s.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I feel like there's a golden age of taking babies out -- old enough that the parents are comfortable (possibly 1 week, if you are brenda's mom!), not so old that they can move on their own.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I was asked to not dry my hands (not for Grace to dry hers) after washing them in a public rest room because a mom of an infant was trying to change her child's diaper (he was buttnaked and crying and she was trying to use toilet paper to make a cover of the changing table). She said I couldn't use the hand dryer (there were no paper towels) because it freaked her already crying baby out.

Um? Okay. Lady, the ship of freaking your baby out has already sailed.

Also, Grace's GI removed her g-tube today. No more tubie! Now we just have a leakey hole until it heals.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I just discovered that when I forward customer emails to my student to answer, she doesn't include their original message. When she hits reply, the message comes back to me, but she just starts a new email. I never would have thought to tell someone to include the questions, but I learned!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

No more tubie! Congrats, Gracie!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What Liese said!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

It's not so much the fussing/crying of the baby that worries me, as it is the exposure to germs. We'll work it out. Tonight we'll order in Chinese.
