"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

What are people doing this weekend.

I'm getting a flu shot in 45 minutes. Then I need to clean some things, complete some more learning modules in my Stanford course, and start reading the library book that's due on Tuesday.

Mary Berry 'to lead new rival' to the Great British Bake Off on the BBC

WOO! I'm following the ladies. Suck it, Paul Hollywood.

You're a kitty!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I am making soup in the crockpot. There is broccoli and cauliflower and cheese involved.

Yum! I am interested in this soup.

I am hanging out in DC with my BFF and her kiddo who is now six months old! We watched the opening of the new African American museum on CSPAN.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I'm off to a friend's house to hang with a group of women to learn/play mahjongg today! Tonight hanging with the spouse, tomorrow getting nails done and then going to see Magnificent Seven with friends.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Cats!

((msbelle))

Mmmm, hot and sour soup. That always is appealing but my sinuses are draining, apparently, so it really would be just the thing today.

Mahjong! Magnificent Seven! Wow.

I replaced the handle on my toilet and broke my lawn chair. I don't know what to expect from the rest of the day! Other than much lounging about reading the slightly spooky issue of Asimov's, which I am loving so far. Really geared to my taste this month.

I think I'll be lying on the couch, blowing my nose.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm terrible about returning things, even to stores, nevermind when I have to mail something back.

I'm awful about this. The UPS store is a mile from me and I still take months to send things back.

I'm cleaning the house today, for real. I don't want to! I want to read and eat chocolate. But after the last couple weeks of The Black Dog hanging around, I can't stand the state of my house anymore. So I'm embracing the misery.

Looking forward to Magnificent Seven! Gonna see it today or tomorrow.

Yay new kitties, Laura! Penny is very pretty.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

All of this pastry on GBBO, I think I might need quiche for lunch.

Librarian Warlord

One of the reasons I love ordering from Boden is the 365 day return policy. I bought K three possible dresses to wear to a family wedding and returned two of them 11 months later when we knew what size and her (always developing) preferences.

Today I am supervising play dates. Tomorrow there is a horseback riding lesson and then the carpenter is coming over to take a look at the stairs we want rebuilt so people stop falling down them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I trekked to Sally Beauty, and they didn't even have Madam President! I knew I should have called. I hope it's not too late to get it on the Internet.
