Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I still feel like it's only September, it's too early to let the election affect my mood. I tend to ostrich, though.

OK, this email asking questions I don't know the answer to also went to the two people who I would go ask if I had to come up with the answers, so I can just say nothing and wait for them to respond, right?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, but that's not what Five-Thirty Eight says.

Well, I don't go look to see what they say, is how I deal with that.

Our wings are not tired.

I like the NYT's one since it shows the other ones too. I tend to check them all because I am apparently obsessed.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

The NYT prediction page helps to calm me down when I get those feelings.

Also the Princeton Election Consortium: [link]

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, Princeton is a good one too!

Well, it is too late to take a vote, so I'll let you know later how the pumpkin pie spice worked out with my roasted cauliflower and asparagus. I used it sparingly for a first try.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Okay, those are kind of reassuring.

That sounds yum, Laura!

We have a "Hawaiian-themed Tailgate" on Thursday and the dress code is: "Hawaiian clothing including walking shorts are encouraged. " I am tempted to wear a muumuu, because when else will I get to wear a muumuu to work? But I've also got a cute Patagonia Aloha dress. So I am torn.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!
