Alex Kingston was a delight two years ago at ECCC. Barrowman was there, too. Crashed her panel. They were wicked.
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Actually, maybe she crashed his. ANYHOW, they were hilarious.
Teppy was def a fan of the avocado egg salad!
I can't decide how much time and energy I'm willing to put in to getting better at this hobby (dance). Hmm. Weekends are not as much fun as I want them to be, and expensive. But are a way to get better. Private lessons would be v helpful probably, but are way expensive. But I want to be better!
Explosions in New York are disturbing and weird. :(
FUMBLE!
Ripped out a shitton of ivy in the front and did some much needed tidying up. And then I gave myself a shower with the hose in the front yard because I was so gross.
Private lessons would be v helpful probably, but are way expensive. But I want to be better!
Dance is so wonderful for both body and soul. Are there any video instructions that might be helpful? A couple of private lessons might be worth the price to pinpoint areas that need improvement.
ETA: Have also started reading "Cog" and I like it, even though I haven't got very far and it's not my usual taste, either now or as a sprog.
Cool. Thanks. Yeah, it doesn't seem like it would be your cup of tea. Looks like one of my review requests will bear fruit early next month. I don't know how the review will go, just when it will come out.
I fixed the TV today so I've accomplished something. My wife has a couple of projects in the works that will need software and I've been dealing with tax issues so I've spent a good chunk of the weekend at my desk. That was complicated by a Windows Update where bad things happened. Got that fixed and since I was messing with my computer anyhow, I took the opportunity to try out KDE Neon for my main OS. I've been tempted and decided to give it a try.
I like my desktop so far. I've got my time, date, local weather, network upload and download, CPU load and frequency, memory, CPU GPU Disk temperatures, and clipboard history all handy. I can press one key to get a searchable launch screen for all my applications and recent documents. I can press key or button for more extensive searching as well where results are divided into documents, images, videos, applications, browser bookmarks, etc.... It has most of the stuff I want to have for my desktop.
Sounds productive to me, Gud.
I haven't done much today. I did swim for about an hour including 40 laps in my pool and 200 pool jumping jacks. Made the tasty avocado/egg salad. Cleared some emails. Right now I generally work on a decent size all-in-one computer while on my comfy couch in the living room, where I remote into my desktop located in the next room. The desktop machine has 4 monitors so there is a bit of jumping around. I'm considering dumping my desktop machine and putting all my stuff on a virtual machine in our work datacenter and remoting into there instead. The advantage would be the constant backups and snapshots of everything. I'll at least put the structure together and start the fun of installing all my applications.
Well, I am trying not to be rigid about what my taste is.
Hey birthday girl! How goes the day?
Watching unsatisfying football here but giving up on our team and going to the grocery store.
