Our wings are not tired.

My non-competitive nature requires that I not fall down any stairs. I just really don't think I can do it that well and the competition is too accomplished.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I should make the living room more tied to the kitchen.

I approve of this plan wholeheartedly. I'm probably going to ultimately just annex the living room and part of the garage as extended kitchen.

Wow, Scrappy! Re: moving plans. How cool if you can make that work! And I'm sorry for the current work related agita, that bites. Nice job with the interview clothes!

Love those clothes in the Vogue shoot msbelle linked to.

I did not watch the Saints game, but I was checking the score on my phone when I had the chance (we were hiking in the Redwoods I often did not have service) and that was kind of mind-boggling. I don't think I want to know more details, really.

Mom~ma in Typo Boy's direction.

Mmm, lobster bisque.

I want weekends to be three days long. I need one day to relax and two days to get stuff done.

Right? How do we make this happen?

My horoscope says starting last Friday and for the next year, everything should be amazing for me professionally. Which is nice to hear, even though I don't technically believe in horoscopes.

Yeah, my sister was telling me that Jupiter has moved into Libra and why that's good and I'm like, well, can't hurt I guess so yay.

I'm sorry for your loss, erika.

Congrats on the apartment, Connie! Sounds terrific.

ideas for cheapish fun area rugs.

Cost Plus

I'm curious how the anti-vax people react to the measles-vaccine-protects-you-from-other-diseases news, but not enough to have a dialog about it.

That sounds like it overall went well, flea. Glad to hear it!

I am genuinely shocked, aurelia! That is both bad and amazingly surprising (based on what I know of you and your work, not that I know anything about your employer). WTF?

Go shrift with the fancy education!

You probably don't want to jump through the numerous hoops and sign-ups required to get the 30-day demo of our program. You certainly don't want to pay the 4-digit cost to buy the thing for a year.

Yeah, actually I meant to caveat that with "that will fit into my budget" I have seen some programs that I'm sure would be awesomely fun but would be ridiculous for what is essentially an idle past time, not even rising to the level of hobby.

Does Google SketchUp still exist?

I think I tried it and couldn't figure it out? But maybe I should try again. If it still exists.

I feel like refraining from saying "Fuuuuuuuck yooouuuuuu!" is pretty much the definition of professionalism.

That's super nice about your young fan, Gud!

Sounds like I need to get out the bubblewrap. Be careful, y'all!

And with that, I think I am caught up.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Yeah, I think it's probably important to have this last Christmas with Tim's dad. It would be with my family, at least. I know the holidays can be super-stressful, so I think anything you can do to make it easier is a good idea.

I can think of a few things to reduce the stress, like shifting the time (or maybe even day) of some stuff. (I have to admit that being sick last year was kind of great, because I got to ditch Christmas day right after eating dinner.)

Both Free Will Astrology (which I like because of how it's rah-rah motivational) and my Susan Miller horoscope say that shit is about to get REALLY GOOD for me. And all I can say to that is: DON'T FUCK ME OVER, STARS. Don't you do it.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Everyone in my family but my Dad is going to be away for Thanksgiving this year. I'm trying to figure out what to do. I don't really want to take him out, and I don't really want to eat at his facility, where the food will be mediocre at best. Maybe I'll have him over for a mini-feast, and still make an apple pie.

Turkey breast with mashed potatoes and gravy?

In other news, I fear that I have lost my iPod Classic. I thought I left it at the office last week, but I've been in training offsite all this week, and when I went to the office today, it wasn't there. So either I didn't leave it there and instead lost it somewhere else, or someone stole it from my desk.

Cannot find it in my house, or in any of my jacket pockets. I am SO SAD.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

The last few years it has just been Kelly and I for Thanksgiving dinner, so a couple of years ago we decided to go out instead of cooking a ton for just the two of us. Last year we thought we were going to a place that had a Thanksgiving special but they didn't. It worked out as we ended up eating a ton of nummy oysters instead. At the time, we said that we would do that again this year. Now with her bf, who knows. He loves to cook - he has even offered to come cook me dinner while Kelly is out of town this week. Not sure of his thoughts on oysters.

I slept funny last night and couldn't raise my right arm without flopping ( but could swim crawl just fine, different muscles) and got hit with hormonal indigestion and heartburn so bad food was gross all day, so I ate rice and greens for dinner and hope that's the end of that and dear gawd today was trash.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I share a horoscope with Steve Carlsberg. That never turns out well.

I am genuinely shocked, aurelia! That is both bad and amazingly surprising (based on what I know of you and your work, not that I know anything about your employer). WTF?

Maybe when I have home internet again I'll talk about it some.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

When it is just me and Daniel for Thanksgiving, we make the turkey, because we both like a good turkey sandwich plus cats can nosh on it, too. And I can make gravy the old fashioned way, but get messed up trying to make gravy from packets. I do a rutabaga, carrot, sweet potato mash because you gotta have something to put the gravy on. We always get boxes of stuffing mix on sale, and make some up a day or two later, We make an apple-cranberry compote, because yum and also because what's a turkey-dressing-cranberry sandwich without the cranberries? That narrows it down to the four favorite things, hitting the highlights without going overboard.
