I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, ha, someone sent out an email the whole facility and it's gotten two Reply-all responses. The first is a "friendly reminder" to people not to Reply-all if only the sender needs to see the reply. The second is a grumpy rejoinder that senders could bcc everyone and avoid the possibility of accidental reply-alls. No other responses. This is cracking me up possibly more than it should.

That's very cool about the floor plan sketching, Connie. I've done that with graph paper all my life and have been unsuccessful at finding an available app that will easily do it digitally.

You probably don't want to jump through the numerous hoops and sign-ups required to get the 30-day demo of our program. You certainly don't want to pay the 4-digit cost to buy the thing for a year.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, Dana -- that sounds terrible and I might just walk away and never go back.

Steve Jobs never electrocuted an elephant.

That also came up! Are you sure you're not my coworker Steve?

Does Google SketchUp still exist?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My neighbor is coming over. Here you can see the shakiness of my principles -- he's a Trump supporter, and yet I needed someone to deal with the bug.

The perfect person to deal with not-quite-dead roaches!

She's right.

t edit That looks like I'm saying that I'm right! I was trying to be clever and say that Connie's right. Sheesh, design of the board, you thwart me!

Good one!

Those are the times I miss my platform boots of the 90s, I'll tell you what.

I *super* adulted today: therapy (for the first time in 15 years), work, Target to buy CA:CW*, bank, picked up fluids for the kitty at the vet, got gas in the Corolla, bought fancy coffee*, went to the library, and now I am working again. OH GOD I NEED A NAP.

*(CA:CW and the fancy coffee were my Treat Yo Self reward for going to therapy.)

hip deep in pie

Not that I really believe in astrology, but it has been a very mercury retrograde day.

  • Those mosquito bites are really flea bites.
  • I had two meetings rescheduled because the other person double booked.
  • Only one of those people were considerate enough to actually let me know he couldn't make the meeting.
  • I went to a meeting with a Colin MacD___ and was led into and introduced to Chad McD____. It took us about 5 minutes to realize I was meeting with the wrong person.
  • In the one meeting I actually managed to have today, I think I was mansplained to, by a woman.
