Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Hillary needs to talk about the importance of medical leave, sick days & healthcare right now if that is all the press is gonna focus on.
Who *hasn't* gone to work/continued parenting duties/etc. while they were sick? Sure, statistically there has to be someone who immediately dove under the covers and did nothing until they felt better -- leaving everyone else to pick up the slack -- but for real, I don't think I know a single person who hasn't worked while they were sick.
I just don't see how this is meant to reflect negatively on her. She did what we ALL do from time to time, because it's what we have to do.
I just don't see how this is meant to reflect negatively on her.
Because the country has gone insane.
I guess I don't see how it's going to lose her any votes.
I don't know if it's going to lose votes from people who have already decided but it might change the minds of people who haven't.
It reminds me so much of Parks and Rec when Leslie has the flu.
I would be shocked if there were many people who are currently undecided who will actually vote in November. But I have been shocked with the political system a lot this year!!
I just don't see how this is meant to reflect negatively on her.
It's bad because it attaches itself to the narrative about her. She was hiding her illness, is she really telling the truth about her health, etc... I think the votes it could lose are people who don't like either candidate. Those potential votes probably won't go to Trump, but could go to Gary Johnson or just staying home on election day. I don't think there are enough of those kind of voters to make a big difference though.
What really mystifies me is how can Trump be so close when he has no support among blacks, barely any support among latinos and hispanics, little support from college educated women, and poor support from college educated whites in general. Are there really that many non-college-educated white males?
I would be shocked if there were many people who are currently undecided who will actually vote in November.
That's what I think, too. I'm pretty sure the election is already decided.
