"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Well, I slipped in the mud and fell down because of the rain, and caused a lot of people to fuss over some scrapes and bruises. Went back to the corporate apartment to change clothes, and I've rinsed as much of the mud out of my other clothes as I can. I'm sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow, but mostly it's my dignity that's taken a hit.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So there is yet another primary election today in NYC. There is exactly one race on the ticket, for a judgeship.

I know nothing about the two candidates, they both seem qualified, and now I have to choose between them based on some arbitrary criterion.

So, anyway, Brooklyn Law School or St. John's University School of Law?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Brooklyn Law School. My father and sister both went there.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh wow, she does look like Plei!

I am so annoyed at myself right now-- I sort of snapped at my students last night, and I haven't done that in a long time. I sort of have an anger hangover, I am upset with my reaction, and I am still sort of annoyed at the students even though I probably shouldn't be.

(They were telling me that a fat suit that I made was going to look bad, and it would be better to sew the padding into the costume, and I am 95% sure that it won't work due to trying it before. I was cranky, and hadn't eaten and had been working for twelve hours, and I couldn't articulate why it wouldn't work, and my feelings got hurt, and I said (sarcastically) "Well, I am sure you know more about sewing and costumes than I do", and then left to do measurements. When I came back they had left. )

I just really wish I had listened to what they were saying, and had them demonstrate it, so they could come to the conclusion about why it didn't work-- but sometimes, I just want my students to listen to what I say because I have 25 years of experience. But I also know that the students I have aren't seeing this as questioning me, they just want to understand and make things better!

I also want to retroactively apologize to my costume teacher, but she passed away last year.

Librarian Warlord

Erica, I am so sorry for your loss.

Go flea! The all day, with a lecture and socializing at lunch and dinner interviews make me grumpy, but I love when they are over. I have one application out right now, so, yeah.

I'm going to argue for St. Johns, because I like their law librarian better than Brooklyn's. As Lee and I would say: O-Martin!

Sophi, you are human. Next time you see them, have a constructive conversation and it will be better

Thanks Suzi- I talked to the Department Administrator and she said the same thing. I used to do this all the time, and I really worked on being better (mostly making sure I eat and am hydrated), so these students have never seen this side of me!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I was noble and self-sacrificing and did some work this morning, while the medication is helping me feel human. Since I'm hoping to telework with this job when we relocate, anything that makes me seem like an exemplary employee (ha) helps.

I also had to reschedule tomorrow's massage, which I was really looking forward to.
