I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

OMG, thought I was out of Afrin, but I found another bottle. And now it's NyQuill tyime!

I am looking through fabric in my closet stash for new pillow and foot stool covers. ALso found a pink weave basket and a gnome from my bedroom to bring to the new fun livingroom.

I have 7 throw pillows. I think I am getting rid of 4 of them.

I have to get out of bed and go to the office. Ugh. At least there's breakfast there.

Coding and Sleeping

Gud sounds like a very productive day. I know I have said it before, but it sounds like you are the only one in the house that does housework: filing, dishes, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking & cook clean up.

That's kinda why it didn't feel very productive. I just got routine stuff done, and nothing off the to-do list which is, let's see, 42 items long.

Do your kids do at least 1 chore a day each?

Fingers crossed for your mom, Gar.

I spent the day going to Memphis to see That's Not Us at the LGBT film festival, then killed some time browsing in stores before trying a new Japanese fusion place. I was worried when two of the items I tried to order were out of stock, but what I did end up getting was delicious. (It was just sushi though, my neat-sounding fusion order didn't pan out.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Good vibes going to your mother, Gar.

I want weekends to be three days long. I need one day to relax and two days to get stuff done.

Good thoughts for your mom, Typo Boy. Modern medicine can beat back pneumonia a lot of the time now.

Went to the As game (they lost), and then took Dad to a newish old-fashioned steak house for dinner. Creamed spinach & baked potatoes and the works. The best dish IMO was the sauteed mushrooms in butter & garlic. NOM. But the wine list was good too.

And now to bed. Bah, another week.

Seriously. Saturday was my last day volunteering, so there was a lot of documentation and passing of the baton. Sunday was studying and writing a paper. I need a Restday.

This has been a ROUGH year. I still love my team, but man...

We got a message from our CEO this morning about how the company is going to do some restructuring of how our operations management team is organized. Which makes sense, but my current class is Operations Management, so I'm studying exactly this right now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wait, Gar, your mom's not Hillary Clinton, right? Just checking.

My horoscope says starting last Friday and for the next year, everything should be amazing for me professionally. Which is nice to hear, even though I don't technically believe in horoscopes.
