I came in this morning to an urgent problem that they had to stop a printing press in China for. Turns out we'd used an archived fine art image file that the previous printer had somehow inserted a glitch in, which was not apparent in PDF proofs sized for computer monitors but shows up in the 14x20 printed image. Ah crappy former printer, the gift that keeps on giving years later.
