Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Damn. It's the Pinto of phones?

Now on to Stranger Things. I need to water my plants today, it's been two weeks and if I forget today I can't water until Tuesday. But first more wine and TV.

Coding and Sleeping

I closed down my Slack client. The weekend has begun.

It seems backwards to me that Slack is a work thing.

I keep going to a Church of the SubGenius place, which is not a place I like to be.

I think my understanding of that is too shallow to be disturbed.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I was trying to take a nap, and someone rang my doorbell. I figured it was a delivery and ignored it. A couple hours later when I went out to feed the patio cats, I realized the bag of garbage I'd put out on the porch was gone. I walked around the patio and found the bag sitting beside, not in, the garbage bin.

So someone came to my door, rang, got no answer, and took out the trash on their way out, but was careful not to throw it away just in case it wasn't actually garbage left sitting there on the porch. How thoughtful. I almost wish I'd answered the door for them. Almost.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Hey, Consuela, do you run the Boss off leash?

I do not. She is not yet reliable off-leash, like when we go to agility, which we mostly do off-leash, she frequently decides not to come back to me at the end of an exercise and instead wanders off to the other end of the ring while I futilely wave string cheese at her. Given that in the woods there are other dogs, squirrels, rabbits, turkeys, and poison oak, there will be no off-leash running for a while.

I use to run my first dog off leash even though he had a poor recall; I guess my standards have tightened.

I feel i haven't used my day off particularly well: I went running, went to see Dad, did some administrative stuff with him, and spent a bunch of money at Home Despot and TJs. Now it's 5 pm and I have somehow eaten most of a package of TJ's cheese puffs, but I have not done any filing, paid bills, or repotted my fruit trees. Argh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My day was perfectly fine and capped off by drinks and eats with coworkers, and then I got home to puke on my comforter for the third time this week. I would think my cat is becoming lethargic, if she can't be bothered to puke on the floor anymore, but she seems OK when I'm here! WTF, cat.

Our wings are not tired.

Does the cat get anxious when you aren't there? I've had dogs with that issue, but never a cat that dependent.
