Poised taupe? Dear lord. (It's a darker color than I would've thought, but...still. If that's 2017 I'm not super interested in the future)
Too much work. Not enough motivation.

"Poised taupe" is certainly my phrase of 2017!
That color is not beige; beige would be inoffensive. That color actively repulses me. It would make me angry to be in a room painted that color. If PMS were a color, it would be that color.
I like the color, but that's probably because I've gotten used to it over the past few years that it's been popular. (It's basically a darker "greige," right?) A thing I recognize about myself is that I eventually like most popular things.
I think it is pinker than greige. I actually like the color too- I painted my apartment variations on that color in 1999.
I love me some greige. At least on my nails.
Taking another look at the actual color, I find myself once more standing with Zen.

That color makes me twitchy. A lighter beige/off-white is a good background for bright pictures and things, but that color is just an oppressive lurking thing.
I kind of like it. But it would depend on what other colors were in the room.
When I was a kid (5 to about 12), my room in my parents' house was almost that color. Only darker. When we moved in, my mother was on a beige kick and almost every room in the house was wallpapered in some variation - light beige with darker designs, medium beige with little rural scenes, and my room - solid dark. I remember once complaining that it was brown and my mother told me it was cafe au lait and I looked at her and said, "Mom, it's BROWN."

I was watching a Trading Spaces episode, and the owner opened her eyes at her new room and nearly cried. "I said I was hoping for any color than brown!" The woman host looked distressed and said "We thought you'd like the taupe." "Taupe?" "This color." "You mean, the brown?"
