Thanks y'all. It's all pretty surreal. My sister saw him just yesterday morning so she's having a lot of trouble processing. (And actually saw the couple involved on Friday night. She sort of knows the girl from around and met the boyfriend that night, who struck her as kind of off, but not obviously to this extent.)
It looks like they've made an arrest already - it sounds like there's no real dispute about what happened, in part because the girl called the bar a bit later that night when the cops and ambulances were outside asking "Is it Shawn? Is he dead?"
Just so ghastly.
I made the mistake of listening to the radio this morning, and now I'm going to be earwormed forever.

Holy crap Brenda--that's awful. And he KNEW them?? I was thinking like, intervening w random strangers but to be killed by someone you know? Damn.
I now have brown hair again. But I swear, I'll look in the mirror and think "yeah! Not bad!" And then take a photo and be all "wait, why do I look so weird in this photo???"
