"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Unpacking is a lot more fun than packing, and you're very well prepared, and there is no minor disaster that can't be fixed.

I mean, the bleeding stopped much faster than I thought it would after the incident with my big toe and the suitcase.

I'm going to leave work as early as I can to get everything ready. I'm just going to do what I need to do and keep breathing.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

An excellent strategy.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Keeping breathing is an excellent plan. I wupport that plan.

I myself woke suddenly from what I suspect is an apnea dream--they usually involve drowning or suffocating, and are so jarring I can't close my eyes for a while. Two little kids down a storm drain, this time. Ugh.

I'm sorry, sarameg.

I agree with -t, Zen. It's a good strategy if that's what you need.

Coding and Sleeping

Breathing is always a good idea.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

shrift, keep breathing is an excellent plan. Tons of moving ~ma to you.

Zenkitty, I'm sorry about your sister. Tons of ~ma to her.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Ebay?

I looked. No luck. I'll keep checking every so often.

shrift, I'm sorry everything is being just too much. Moving is hell. Moving halfway across the country is a special hell. Moving the whole way is the 9th circle of hell.

sara, ugh, that sucks. I hope the second half of the week redeems itself.

Zen, much heart~ma to your sister.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I hate those dreams that linger into the day.

I dreamed there was a drug that let you watch a screen that looked like an Asteroids game, and by concentrating on zapping the asteroids, you zapped away pain.

I needed an appointment at short notice, and they had a cancellation. I can't seem to work up much gratitude, since it's at 8 a.m. tomorrow. Blerg.

Back when I did real clinical work instead of professor stuff, I used exactly this scenario with a video game fan who had chronic pain. I would hypnotize him, set up the situation, and he would lie back in the recliner zapping his pain with great satisfaction for half an hour.

Unfortunately, he never was able to master self-hypnosis, so the treatment was of no use to him after he left the hospital.

That sounds familiar, like I read about something like that being developed?

Ugh, Beverly, I hate those kinds of dreams/waking up. I took a nap recently and had one of those sleep paralysis dreams, reminded me why I don't generally take naps (seems to be when that happens the most).

Rick FTW! So, learn how to self-hypnotize and make your dreams come true, Ginger? :)
