Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Don't feel bad, I've worked with most of my co-workers for more than a decade and my cousin in the only one whose birthday I have memorized.

My brain has room for some of my relatives' birthdays and like 5 friends, and the rest I have to depend on facebook for.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I pretty much only know birthdays of people I've known more than 30 years - some relatives, some friends.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Thanks for helping me keep perspective.

I wonder if/how they do birthdays for patients at nursing homes who do not have family involved in their lives.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

From what I've seen, I don't think they do anything, but most people on my father's unit wouldn't have any idea what day it is, despite the sign on the wall.

Our wings are not tired.

Sending the ~ma for Dana's dude!

I'm sorry about the news on your sister's marriage, Tommy. So hard on everyone.

Still over visiting with my family since my sister is here for Mom's birthday. So pleased that my son and his girlfriend both took off from their jobs yesterday to come over and see her. What good kids! They weren't even prompted to do so. Now we have a surprise party planned for my son tomorrow. Not sure if my family will be able to come over, depends on Mom, but the Holt side and friends will be there.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The only way I can keep track of anyone's birthday is FB and the calendar app on my phone. One year I forgot my own.

One year I forgot my own.

"There's something significant about today, what is it, what is it--oh, yeah. Now, how old am I? Crap, I'm going to have to do the math, what year is it again?"

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I mostly remember what month my friends were born in. Family I remember exact dates.

Heard at the bagel place this morning as I got something to eat, from a youngish girl turning to talk to her friend:

"Are you Aaron Burr, sir?"

Her friend just kind of sighed very patiently.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I went to a local arboretum with a friend today. Afterwards, in the parking lot, she said "Yo" and I ran with "Turns out we had a secret weapon" through, "favorite fighting Frenchman!"

She is the person who gave me a copy of the Hamiltome as a thank you for introducing her to the musical, so she just laughed at me.
