Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Thinking back to high school, I don't think we were given options (and certainly not younger). If I remember correctly, once you got on a track (college prep, advanced or vocational), you were assigned to whatever would fit the schedule, not make the classes disproportionate in size, etc.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am getting that feeling again that I will never be able to leave work. So damn much to do and it just seems to increase.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I should have worked late, but I saw the guy who dumped a pile of shit in my lap at 3:30 leaving at 5:01, so I left, too. Fuck that guy.

That's fair.

Oh my god, Excel, just do something! Even if it's not what I just told you to do.

Our wings are not tired.

The Cloud makes my life much easier. Far fewer instances of users screwing my stuff up. Also all my data is replicated to Chicago and Miami so that is reassuring.

I'm going to assume that this Lemon Jello snack that expired last Monday is mine that I put in the fridge and forgot about. Also that being a week past expiration is no biggie.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

If there's no mold and it passes the sniff test, I think a week is no biggie. (I am pretty cavalier about expiration dates, though.* I'll drink milk regardless of the date until it's actually spoiled, whereas I knew a girl in college who would vigilantly dump out the milk -- without checking to see if it was still good -- the morning of its expiration date. I always expected to see her open the window and chuck the whole carton out like a grenade, just to be safe. Tim's dad does the same thing, so we often get a half-full carton of milk from him, because he's ready to dump it out because of the date, and I leave no food behind [if it's not spoiled].)

*(This practice has come back to bite me in the ass, though not with a Jello snack.)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Arts classes are a good way to meet girls, Mac, DUH.

At least they were in my high school, where the few boys who signed up had almost-harems.

Jello snack tasted fine, possibly extra tart. I am also cavalier about expiration dates.

I was just about to say fuck it and go home regardless of what is still not done, but I remembered two things that have to be done today. Sigh. I am thinking maybe a cake pop for dinner. With dinner. As an appetizer? I don't know. Losing ability to brane. Did I mention I came in early today? And I could easily spend all the time I have tomorrow that is not already scheduled in meetings catching up my backups on what they can expect while I am out. Poor things. I'm more glad than ever that I will not have any kind of access to email!

Oh good lord, department picture tomorrow. I would like to look good for that, the picture will probably stay in the orientation presentation for years. One more thing to remember.
