That's rough, msbelle.
Whoa, only one NYC-ista? That's bewildering.
Am tired. Have made some good progress i getting ready for my vacation, though, I think. A fair amount left to do, but I've got a few days, I think I'll manage it. The next few days of work are probably going to suck as I try to leave everything in reasonable shape for my backups, but there's nothing much I can do about that except plow through it as best I can.
It's years since I had purple hair, but my faded footsteps are still being followed, technically. And I am glad to hear it. Purple hair is fun, and I'm sure looks good on M.
Is there any bright colored dye that will take to just my grays?

if the rest of your hair is dark, any semi-permanent dye (Manic Panic, Splat!, Special Effects, etc.) will dye your gray and leave a "gloss" of sheer color over the rest. If you're blonde (or pale ash brown, as I apparently am), the semi-perm will visibly stain your hair.
I need gift ideas. Parents 50th anniversary and Grandma's 90th birthday!
Booze? Dinner cruise or similar "experience"?
Also, imagine being 40 at your kid's wedding??

ISTG, the person who invents hair dye that only sticks to grays will make a fortune.
My public school had a policy against unnatural hair colors. Is that not a thing anymore?
Not in MD, at least in Frederick where my 8 year old niece has dyed green hair ( her school color) or in bmore where my 10 year old friend has had several different color streaks added to her blond hair.

Yeah, that's a tough problem. I tried it once and that's why I had to change my last name to Anderson and move to Idaho.
I had a Revenge of Matilda moment this morning when I went to comb my hair and got purple stripes in my white hair. (It washed out after a brief moment of grumpy panic.)
