Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I hope it is fun, msbelle!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

When we moved, I threw out, among other tapes, the videotape of Earshot that came through the tape tree that Dana was part of--I think that's how I first "met" Dana, although I could be wrong on that. It was a moment, but I let it go. Helped along by the fact that we no longer own a VCR.

The one tape I regret tossing was the mumblety-th Rocky Horror anniversary show, when ASH sang Frankenfurter and Amber Bensen sang Janet. I've found those clips, and other performances. The one on the tape I've been unable to find anywhere else was of Eric McCormack doing a dead-on impersonation of Curry as Frank.

But even if I had it, I still have no way to play it--and it would be degraded horribly by now.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

During the original run of Buffy and Angel, I recorded every episode, obsessively. After one tape got messed up, I started recording every one in duplicate. Every single episode. Then I started taping every episode of other shows I liked. X-Files, The Sentinel, Lost, I don't even remember. I kept the VCR tapes in boxes in my living room. And I never watched them again. I watched reruns when they came on, and sometimes I taped those too, but I never watched any of those tapes. A couple years ago I realized I was insane and threw them all out. I kept the ones that never came out on DVD, like The Inside, but I should ditch those too, they're probably so degraded they're unwatchable. What a waste of time and money.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I recorded every episode on tape, but when I bought the box set, I freecycled them.

ION, the hallway of my building is filled with exuberant 20 somethings, which normally I wouldn't care about, but I want to take out some smelly trash, and I'm in my jammies. Don't want to put on a bra because there are people!

Can you go the other direction and throw on a robe or some other layer?

So I have discovered that if I don't get to my Sunrise Salutation until evening, I feel like I ought to face west instead of east. Tat was a good test of my ancient mosquito repellent, I think. I was getting eaten up for the first few poses before I remembered I had ancient mosquito repellent to test, and nary a bite since.

Still have my box of video tapes to go through. I have, I think, the necessary equipment to digitally record what I want to keep, but I have to, you know, actually do it.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Interesting conversation

I love my DH with my full heart. Sometimes , he drives me crazy.

We went thru a recent rough patch, but I can't tell you why. All I know is that it took me completely loosing my shit ( saying stuff I don't ever say ) for us to remember why we like each other. Despite that , I knew I loved him - I was just over irritated at him for stupid things. I have my theories about what was going on in his head, but I can't really say for sure. We didn't talk it out - in this is the problem - but fought it out. I hate fighting. We both have pretty strong personalities. we don't fight often , but sometimes it takes one of us yelling - I am a person - for the other one to remember. In conclusion, love makes you do the wacky

I have some DVDs and tapes, but I never watch them. Luckily I realized that pretty early on, so I don't have a ton of them. (Books, on the other hand, I re-read often. And Law and Order episodes, but only if they're on tv--if I had a dad of them I'd never watch)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

One wall of my living room is old videotapes, with the complete series of Buffy and Angel (minus Doublemeat Palace) given their own racks of honor. I don't even have a VCR in that room anymore, but I incorporated them into my decor over the years so they're a permanent fixture now. [link]

Our wings are not tired.

I have video tapes remaining, but not many. I wonder if the 24 year old one of my son being born is still good. If so it really should be digitized. I like to threaten making him watch it every year. It's pretty funny.

Matt, I love your living room. Also I'm envious of the cool brick wall!
