Once a woman gets used to life on her own, a man (or what have you) doesn't have as many value-added features as you'd think.

Maybe for introverts or people who aren't into sex? I mean, not wanting a man, per se, but you know what I mean.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Or, how long do I wait before I leave anyway? I could theoretically check for an answer from home with a glass of wine. But would that aggravate me more or less? Hard to say.

That is a tough call.

Yeah that.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, yeah, I just don't find the prospect of sex and companionship tip the scales, personally.

I ended up staying about 20 minutes late and walking home to burn off my annoyance. Well, walking to a grill and bar that has football on, I haven't actually are it home.

I really enjoyed playing badminton when I actually learned the rules in a college PE class. It's got its specific appeal and challenges, like most things.

Because books.

After over 30 years in one relationship, I'm amazed how much I don't miss having a partner. Until I need, like, my back rubbed, or I can't reach something.

I love the self-reliance of that, but it also makes me sad that I miss someone I spent so many years with so little.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It's only the preseason. It's only the preseason.

I do not like that mantra, Dana. I use it, of course, but I don't like it.

That's so interesting, Amy. I don't mean to be callous and strange, but that is not exactly a story one hears much in our culture.

I dunno, it may be one of those things that people feel but don't always admit.

Simones rocking it this olympics. For all the little black girls in lessons at my pool, I'm glad they've got a Simone Manuel Gold to aspire to, rather than black girl Phelps or black Ledeckey, both of which I've heard from parents this week.

Well, I did leave him. I guess I did it for a reason, right?

Or maybe I'm callous and strange? I hope not.
