Ohio is blue (light blue, but still) on fivethirtyeight and Princeton, and yellow(?) on NYT (but still showing 59% Democratic).
It feels like there's too much time between now and the election.
'War Stories'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Ugh, seriously! I'm not sure I can take it and wish I had the self-control to stay offline for great chunks of the day but I don't.
I'm giving non-trivial odds that Trump will flame out somewhere in September or October, and the party will draft Cruz or Rubio or somebody, throwing everything out of kilter.
538 is very appealing right now, I just hope it lasts

That would be a mess, but yes, not out of the realm of possibility
Timelies all!
Thanks for the well-wishes! Dinner was nice.(and they gave us a piece of carrot cake in honor of our anniversary. Yum!)
Podcast recs for listening to while walking.
I like "The History of England." It took the podcaster a while to find his feet, but once he was toward the end of the Anglo-Saxon kings he hit his stride. I also like "Kevin and Ursula Eat Cheap."
Jesse, not Brenda but, the thing with the president's tailors was the last segment on Invisibilia the clothing episode (I JUST listened to it this morning).
My favorite podcasts: On Being, Invsibilia, Reply All, Surprisingly Awesome, Radiolab, the new radiolab legal one.
Laura, sorry about blowing up your wall.
msbelle, also, I heard an episode of Science Versus and it was fucking awesome. It was right in my sweet spot of data vs. implications. Good stuff.
There are some political podcasts I like. They discuss politics without just going on partisan rants.
Keeping it 1600 - Political podcast with a couple of former Obama staffers and usually a guest.
NPR Politics - Political podcast with NPR correspondents. Surprisingly fun.
Slate's Political Gabfest - Excellent political podcast.
The Axe Files - David Axelrod interviewing various people involved in politics including conservatives.
Non-technical Geeky Stuff:
Doctor Who: Verity! - A group of women discussing Doctor Who.
Nerdist - Chris Hardwick interviewing people involved in geeky TV shows and movies. I cherry-pick this one.
