All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oops, double post. Spotty connection looked like it wasn't posting.

A private tour? That's pretty cool! Did you have a connection or were you the only one to show up or what?

Ate the second half of the cookie about an hour ago. Am in the midst of a book so will be awake a bit longer but...so far "maybe kinda makes me feel like my ears need to pop" is not anything that convinces me this is worth paying money for.

(Possibly I'm failing by being boring and reading a book home alone, a not super funny book? Maybe I should be watching a stupid movie. ...eh)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

That sounds awesome, aurelia. I saw it when I was a kid and unfortunately came away with achievable life goals.

(Also, randomly, I had a dream last night that you and I were...detectives, maybe? We didn't have guns, that's for sure. But we drove around solving crimes. One involved a car overturned on the freeway with a dude standing on the car in a bear suit. No, really. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS.)

Was the dude in the bear suit played by Taye Diggs?

meara, Paul has the same issue. Which he solved with, umm, a pack of prerolls.

Which were much more effective for him, I gotta say.

(I tend to stick to the high CBD edibles for myself.)

I...don't know what prerolls are? Pre-rolled joints? I have never been a smoker, so the one time I tried to smoke pot, I basically just coughed a lot and hated the smell.

brillig

I got a private tour of Hearst Castle today.

I would love to see the backstage of a big house like that.

Well, boo. It's now been almost four hours since my first dose and two since my second. What a waste of $8 and an evening (I mean, I suppose I probably would've chilled at home with a book anyway, but I would've had a beer or two?)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

My brother's a doctor, and he's pretty alarmed by the situation with recreational cannibis, mostly because there's no dosage regulation. As a result you get people who really fuck themselves up by doing what Dowd did, or who used to smoke dope and are now trying it again, not understanding the much increased potency of the strains.

I think we have a way to go before we get good regulation of what a single dose is, and how it can be calculated and its effects predicted. Possibly legalization should have required that first, before just opening up the market...

The storm last night created a massive sinkhole in front of my salon in Ellicott City. As in, the sidewalk is GONE down to basement floor level. Reports that some diners had to move to the 3rd floor to escape floodwaters in restaurants further down the street.

Also, my cats are assholes who woke me up at 5:30 am.
