Look, you got a little stabbed the other day. That's bound to make anyone a mite ornery.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

In anticipating the conventions I expected much more out of Trump. I thought that creating a television production might be a place where he had real experience.

Trump thinks Big and Shiny with his name on it is all that's needed for a great television spectacle.

I think perhaps this individual is just bad at boundaries and communication and is just blunt, rather than being combative

Yeah, that's how it sounded to me. I'm bad at that myself - I tend to forget that simply asking for information can sound combative unless I'm really careful how I phrase it. I woldn't do it at 7am though... although you know I might, if I'd pulled an all-nighter myself; I might just assume the person wouldn't even see it until later. However you are not obligated to instruct this person.

I look at it this way, Steph, when people are debating what to do in their mind, they telegraph their choices based on who they reach out to. Often what they want is confirmation. So reaching out to you when just about the only thing she knows is that you are pro-Hillary strikes me as an indication that she wants to vote for her, but hasn't figured out how to frame it to herself yet.

oooh, Burrell is way smart.

The debate is going to be painful to watch.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Just had a late visitor: [link]

Dcp, did it get in the house??

"Bouncycastle" sounds like fun. I'm guessing it's not?

I had a bunch of people over for patio drinks (from like 530-830) to meet my friend who just moved up here from Texas, and her sister. And they brought a friend, and some people I didn't expect showed up (and several friends I expected, didn't) and I had 17 people at one point! It was awesome. And now I have more beer in my fridge than when I started. Oops.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds highly successful, meara! Way to hostess

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Very nice, meara!

I feel that there should be a formal complaint against whoever named that "bouncycastle."

Ooh, that "so you want to like Hillary" page is great. I wish it looked less like the campaign, though!

OK, this is so much inside baseball on my job, but I have to share it somewhere: woke up to an invitation to submit a proposal from Big Fancy Foundation. Which is great! They had asked for a concept last week, which was like pulling teeth to get out the door. When I sent it to Former Boss (Still Higher-Up) to review, he was like, this needs way more specifics. Of course I know that more specifics would be better, but made the decision that it was better to get something to them than to take another week to figure out the specifics. It worked! I was right! FB(SHU) can certainly kiss my ass.

Our wings are not tired.

I had a bunch of people over for patio drinks (from like 530-830)

So I am apparently still asleep because I thought meara had a few hundred people over on her patio and was wondering how that was even possible. Sounds fun! Now you have to have a 'come finish off the beer' gathering.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Just wanted to give an FYI, it may be unneeded, but. The woman who posted a nice comment on my FB ramble comment named Julie is my hairdresser and well, she a bit of a loon. She is very active in the sovereign citizen movement, she's a big supporter of the Bundy family and sees herself as a self-taught lawyer. I am considering stopping using her because of her beliefs, but she never talks with me about them so I haven't yet. Just FYI, I didn't want anyone over engaging with her.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Teppy, there's a whole page you can just send people like your FB friend to.

That's super useful! Thanks!

(Also, randomly, I had a dream last night that you and I were...detectives, maybe? We didn't have guns, that's for sure. But we drove around solving crimes. One involved a car overturned on the freeway with a dude standing on the car in a bear suit. No, really. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS.)
