Connie, I'm definitely the target audience for much of the background music I hear. I have been known to bop my way through the grocery store, quietly singing along to whatever is playing.
I guess I'm surprised so much of the music of the 70s and 80s is still so popular. I wasn't listening to listening to 30-year-old music when I was young person with money to spend and stores trying to appeal to me.
edit: Einstein's was running through late-60s/early-70s stuff today, and I was the oldest in the place by easily 15 years. Maybe it's like the sudden craze for Tony Bennett a decade ago.
Steph! Are you aware of this? [link]
Or is it that the music I grew up with is that much better than newer stuff and everybody knows it?
Well of course. Go put on some Billy Idol and soak up the quality.

Or I'll go way back and listen to the Moody Blues sing about the moon landing. Ten billion butterfly sneezes.
I threw my back out somehow. This was a dumb thing to do
Steph! Are you aware of this?
I saw it yesterday. AWESOME! Also, the en dash IS the worst punctuation mark.
Oh no, Burrell! Are you lying on the floor?
I am listening to a podcast, talking about Orange is the New Black, in which they use tvtropes AND Emily Nussbaum as references. It is weird, and I want to email them about tvtropes.
No Jesse, on my bed. With an ice pack. I just feel so useless and I knew I was pushing myself too hard, so only myself to blame.
