Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I can't cope with the U.S.'s insanity infecting other places.

Dear lord. I'd say "when will this end" but that this point "with the apocalypse" seems like too possible an answer.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Trump, on the National Enquirer's reporting that Ted Cruz' father met with Oswald:

I've always said, "Why didn't the National Enquirer get the Pulitzer Prize for Edwards, and OJ Simpson, and all of these things?"

Coding and Sleeping

Sounds like Hillary's VP will be Kaine, Vilsack, Perez, or Booker.

I think Kaine or Vilsack would make an excellent, well-qualified VP pick you would do the job very well. But to do the job you have to win the election first and I think Perez or Booker would be better there while either would make a perfectly fine VP. My pick would be Booker. I think he'd be great on the campaign trail. Nothing against Perez, I just like Booker a little better.

Poor Vilsack, always the bridesmaid. I'm assuming Hillary doesn't pick him because she won't.

My gut feeling is that she'll go with Kaine or Perez.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Vilsack is a no-go just because of his name.

I've heard odds are good for Kaine.

Honestly, I feel like she needs a White Dude(TM) as her running mate, because I don't think the country is ready for a ticket with 2 women or a woman and a racial minority.

Though I would LOVE Booker almost as much as I would have loved Warren. And I would have been pretty happy with Sherrod Brown (although a White Dude[TM]), too.

I was TOTALLY going to say that! And then I thought, damn Steph, stop being 12.

Don't look at fivethirtyeight's polls/polls-plus predictions right now. Jesus. (I know it's the post-RNC bounce, and things will look really different next Friday, but DAMN. I mean. HOW. WHY. HOW.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sticking my head in the sand and looking at Comicon videos today. Just for today.

Completely unrelated to politics, and maybe mildly amusing:

I went to Hulu to watch stuff, and they've changed from having a Queue and Favorites to just one thing called a Watchlist, which seems to be everything from your Queue PLUS anything that you watch.

Anyway, my Watchlist is Parks and Rec and superhero shows and stuff like that. And in the middle of the list -- Intervention.

I have never watched Intervention. Very confused.

Then I remembered 2 things: (1) my brother texted me earlier in the week and said that he was binge-watching Intervention, and (2) when I visited him in February, we used my Hulu account to catch up on Agent Carter.

He's been watching Intervention on my Hulu account. I laughed my ASS off when I realized that. And then I told him today that he's going to need to give me his Netflix info in return so I can watch Jessica Jones.
