I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I love you guys, but the Trump supporters have me researching Canadian emigration. I don't want to share a country with them, no matter who wins. Are there still Canadian Buffistas?

Thrive to spite them

At one ppint I watched it and there was some dude who turned out to be Rick Perry . I didn't listen to much bit he mentioned going to a naval base and kinda...paused..there was some applause but it seemed like he was waiting for more. Anyway they put up his factoids. Longest running Gov., that seems relevant, 5th generation Texan, totally relevant to that crowd, Unsuccessfully ran for President twice...I for get the years.I'm not sure why they are highlighting his failures but it seems weird.

Our wings are not tired.

There were FOUR! bereaved parents speaking tonight. SO MUCH EXPLOITATION. Manipulation. It is so uncomfortable.

Oh My God! When I went to bed the whole thing didn't seem like too much of a clusterf#$k, but this morning. Wow!

The news on both CNN and MSNBC is all what a disaster. The plagiarism, the feud between the campaign people and family and Pence. Damn. What a hot mess! It would not surprise me if Trump pulls out before end of summer for 'family' reasons.

Also, I would give anything to hear the screaming and shouting in the Trump household this morning.

eta: and Trump was interviewing with Fox News DURING Benghazi Mom's teary speech. So their viewers missed it.

Favorite quote seen this morning -

"Tonight, Donald Trump's children will address the Convention. They will no doubt reminisce about growing up as young black girls in Chicago."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Y'all saw that apparently Melania plagiarized from Michelle?

I heard that this morning and couldn't believe it. In the sense of finding it totally believable.

Watching Stephen Colbert's stuff from last night is pretty soothing.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Watching Stephen Colbert's stuff from last night is pretty soothing.

I need to watch that at lunch. That's the only RNC coverage I'm interested in.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Colbert last night was everything.

Is anyone else wondering if Melania's plagiarism last night was a cry for help on her part or possibly an attempt at sabotage by the election staff? My brain is going there because I can't imagine hat no one thought we would notice.

a cry for help on her part

Well, she didn't write it.

or possibly an attempt at sabotage by the election staff?

Maybe, but I think the answer is arrogance and stupidity. Arrogance because they think think no one but the GOP was going to listen to the speech. Stupidity because they forgot this is 2016 and the magical internet machine exists so that people can fact-check this shit.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Guys, it's Hillary's fault, obviously: [link]
