Laura FTW.
It's one thing to paint the elevator doors in a color code or have different color signs that simply say "elevator" but what they did shows that there are no critical thinkers in the room at all.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Seriously, not one person who saw the mockup for the sign had even a second thought? Oy.
Just had the phone screen for a job at a Company (something I have not had since college!), and don't think it went great, and she is definitely looking for people with experience I don't have, but maybe? Eh, we'll see.
Yeah, I get that. Plus Trump is a racist jackwagon. That makes "white elevators" sound like something the GOP cooked up for the convention. But I think it's just unfortunate coincidence.
Combined with the general ineptness and tone-deafness of the campaign. (See also, You Can't Always Get What You Want on the loudspeakers as Trump announced Pence.)
I keep reading about what a shitshow the 60 Minutes interview was, but I haven't been able to make myself watch any of it yet.

Seriously? That's hilarious.
I've reached the point where I can barely stand to hear Trump's voice. It's impossible to avoid, but I kind of cringe when I hear it.
edited to add: I wonder if they got permission from - or paid royalties to - the Stones to use that music. The Republicans have a history of kind of appropriating music without doing either.
I am torn about watching the convention. I think all I want to see is the procedural stuff to see if anything goes wonky. Will the covert/Stewart coverage be on network or Comedy Central?
The Colbert coverage is during the normal Late Show timeslot, I believe and The Daily Show will be doing their own coverage.
A few elections back, I was watching RNC coverage on MTV or something like that, and the very conservative-looking reporter was chatting with various delegates. He was talking to one about various organizations and what candidates they supported, and he said, "And we have reports that NAMBLA is throwing their support behind Candidate X." The delegate, thrilled to be being interviewed by a real press person with a camera and trying to hide that he was out of his depth at a national political event, smiled and said, "Oh, that's good." It was funny and sad.
I'm pretty happy I'm traveling Monday and Wednesday nights, so I won't have the chance to catch the RNC those nights. The other nights...I kinda want to watch cause I just don't get it, I don't understand how ANYONE supports him. But I know it will be watching a trainwreck.
