After the free Kindle promotion my sales of Cog have flatlined. It's starting to feel like my agent submitting to editors at major publishers all over again; everybody seems to really like it but it never quite catches on. The reviews are fantastic so far.
Right now I'm trying to get it into local school libraries (of the appropriate age group) and line up reviews on blogs. Got four saying they will do reviews, but that will be awhile. That's hard too, lots of blogs that do book reviews, but most don't do any self-published.
Cops shot and killed in Baton Rouge. Jesus.
Timelies all!
Quiet Sunday here. Soon we will go out for lunch and groceries.
It's also a quiet Sunday here after a busy couple of days. TCG is in charge of parenting at the moment. So, I'm hiding in bed with a book.

Seven wounded, three killed. Shooter at large.
Assault rifle. I betcha it's that easy to get AR-15.

I haven't heard the canard about good guys with guns stopping bad guys with guns in a while. I guess it's hard to say that when police are getting shot.
A relative on FB is angry at the ACLU for escalating the situation in Baton Rouge. I am letting that one go for the sake of family harmony.
I wonder if there might be more push behind getting assault rifles banned if police keep getting shot with them. Not that I want police or anyone to get shot.
Well, fuck. Just found out a good friend and 4 others in her department were laid off on Thursday. Kinda shocking, but it's budgetary and they're on a completely different funding source I had no view into. Ahrg. And their kids are in private school and the eldest is going into her senior year.
This year is unsettling.
Ugh, just heard about the Baton Rouge shootings. I am so done with shootings this year! So upsetting. I DO NOT want civil war.

??? I don't even get it, it's like someone doesn't understand what the ACLU does.
Jesse, my advice is to split the difference and have your stylist color your hair once or twice a year, and then you can take care of the roots yourself the rest of the year. That's what I do because I can't afford to have my hair done professionally every time. But coloring the roots is pretty easy and all it costs is the dye.
