Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Me too, Hec. With a side of Obama was despicable at the Dallas Memorial, But GWB must have dementia for Dancing, and If Only the Protesters in Rochester Didn't Block the Roads, Black Reporters Wouldn't Have Been Handcuffed.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm avoiding the news tonight because I have to be able to function this weekend, but I'm feeling the same way.

Sorry. I wasn't trying to stop the conversation here.

I got a lovely visit from my blissfully retired former boss and after a conversation with our new (4 days!) archive scientist, I've decided to go all mama bear on her and make sure she can access all the resources Baltimore has to offer. I really liked her in the interviews, and not just professionally, and so far the impression is sticking. A bit younger than me, but what new hire isn't these days? I feel like I have an opportunity to pass something on.

Lisa, I'm hitting you & Ellen up, she's moving to your hood.

brillig

More cooking adventures: I did not realize that balsamic vinegar would counter some of the acidity of tomato sauce, I just put it in hoping to add another flavor dimension. But I like this a whole lot.

Carrots will help with acidity too.

I went to trivia with a friend, so that was fun. Though still kicking ourselves we didn't do better on the musicals round (it was "list 8/10 of the longest running musicals on Broadway" we only got 4. "O Calcutta"?!? But I forgot Fantasicks was off Broadway. And we didn't realize wicked had been around that long. And utterly forgot Chorus Line and Chicago. Apparently Rent is 11th??)

And then saw my ex on Tinder. Grr. Apparently "I'm so in love with this other girl and need to be monogamous with her even though I've been insisting I don't do monogamy" lasted for two months, because she unfriended me on FB but I can still see that she's no longer "in a relationship". HAH.

Our wings are not tired.

My habit of early to rise and watching news needs to be reexamined. It is just all too upsetting. Hate and fear. This girl is all about the love and joy and the world just isn't in agreement.

No hate or fear in my life last night. We went out for birthday dinner with MIL. Just me, DH, loving SIL and her son, and my sons. After dinner we came back to my house so Uncle Al (DH) could drive around the block in the big red truck with my almost 3 yo nephew. There was joy. He does love the big red truck and his uncle. SIL and I got teary eyed because all evening my sons were chatting with each other and looking at each other phones and friendly. We are hopeful they are past their sibling rivalry stage and working toward best bros. Then after they left I turned on the computer. I should have gone to bed with my book and kept the warm glow going.

There are new cats in Neko Atsume. [link]

Also, I broke down and got Pokemon Go. Not so good for me since I have recently developed arthritis in both my knees. But it's interesting to see what has been made a Pokestop/Gym. Weirdest thing? A home for unwed mothers. I guess you wouldn't really know what it was because the sign only says "Neuman Catholic Centre", but I lived across from it and my old boss adopted a baby from there. So weird. Also a mass grave of unidentified bodies from the Halifax explosion is also a Pokestop.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.
