I managed to meet two very tight deadlines today by working at breakneck pace, and the client really likes the look of one oddball unit I sent in that we were really shooting in the dark on. Also, after paying bills my budget has enough give to buy a much-needed new pair of cargo shorts, and my British Sirens DVD arrived by Royal Mail today (still haven't found out if my Blu-ray player can actually play it yet). So, pretty much a banner day all the way around.

I dropped my camera in the sand TWICE today, and now it will turn on but cannot focus, I assume because there's sand all up in the lens-extending mechanism. Now, this is a point-and-shoot that's at least 6 years old, and possibly 7, so I'm not super fussed. Except it is inconvenient, because I'd like to keep taking pictures of shenanigans this week. But other people have cameras, and/or there's a Wal-Mart just across the bridge on the mainland if I really can't survive without a camera.
But I'm the kind of person who really needs to do a lot of research before I replace my camera, so I don't know that I'll impulse-purchase one down here.
I'm also at (what I hope is) the tail end of a migraine. But other than than, vacay is good. No sharks, no sunburn. YET.

How is this possible? I worked until midnight last night, it's now 8:30pm, and this is STILL a shitload of work in my inbox. If you looked at my virtual desktop right now, you'd think I hadn't done anything in a week. I cannot possibly finish all this before I go on vacation tomorrow. I'm having a bit of a panic, here. This is ridiculous, that I can't get my work DONE enough to go on a vacation!

Well, they do have Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Squirrel Girl, and Patsy Walker, Hellcat. So they have been working that tween girl market. Also there's a new black girl character that will be donning Iron Man's armor.
