Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That is so cool. Good Luck, DavidS!

Thanks! They're going in now...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just realized there are 2 Jon Favreaus.

Hee.

Barack Obama, JD

Ooh!

I'm in the airport!

Whee!

I'm on grand jury duty this week, and they gave us a long lunch today, so I went home and watched Match Game. I feel like I'm back in junior high.

Match Game is the best. I mean, not the actual best, because there's no Bill Cullen, but I do enjoy it.

I just had a call with the chair of a large foundation whose name is also a major company. He was asking if my job could do a favor for his friend's kid and her startup. Hilarious. (But I bet the startup makes it to Shark Tank, given how connected they are.)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So basically I looked like a dr Seuss character.

That sounds good to me.

Tom, I'm imagining the scene in Freaks and Geeks when Bill gets home, makes himself a grilled cheese sandwich and watches Gary Shandling on TV.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am kinda loving the new Match Game. I also loved the old one. Back when I was at at the captioning company, we did all the old ones, and I used to watch them at lunch. It was fantastic.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, the pitch went pretty well. He especially liked the demo (which is the digital comic I wrote and did the project management of the app). He especially liked the the Giapetta stuff and focus on girls.

Looks like we might get another meeting (which would be a win), and he definitely wanted us to present to Disney publishing.

So, nobody's handing us a check yet but it keeps getting interest.

It is - it's just that we're out of money at this point, so somebody needs to do more than say "That's cool!" and cut us a check. But apparently the pitch went as well as it possibly could have.

So...fingers crossed.

I hope it happens for you. I didn't quite make it at Disney-Hyperion with my book, so I hope you guys do better.
