Yay Dana!!
Teenage boys are The Worst for smells, I think.
I am trying to decide if I should attend a book reading tonight as a blonde with blue-green streaks, or if I will have time this afternoon to dye blue Manic Panic all over. I don't think I have time, but not sure I want to go in public like this! (it doesn't look THAT bad, but it's a little weird, in part because I"m not used to being a blonde, and my eyebrows are still dark brown!)
I'm such a lurker 'round here these days, but y'all have been on my mind today. Last night ND and I told the story of how we met and his unique proposal to some friends who are barely old enough to remember pre-social media text-based boards, and it made me grin a lot. I may not post often, but I love you all.
Timelies all!
Ugh. Woke up around 3 because Gary woke up(he wasn't feeling well) and I couldn't fall back to sleep right away. Then Nova started scratching at the door in the 5 o'clock hour. Managed to get through work ok, other than realizing I forgot my cell phone at home. Bleah.
I stopped by my first-choice apartment complex to see what might be available in October. They were surprised that I was looking into this so far in advance and they'd get back to me in September. I think one month is way too short a lead time for finding a place to live, but I tend to be a bit obsessive about planning.
All their one-bedroom apartments are on the second floor. I dislike steps, but I'm not sure if being forced to take steps would be damaging to my joints or good for my fitness. The complex is nice looking and just in my budget. Time to get more limber, I think.
That's hilarious, Dana. Also WOO HOO for Hamilton!
I have now been wrangled into taking kids on walks all around the neighborhood lest they lead themselves away from the friendly neighborhood streets to the scary ones with lots of homeless, loiterers, garbage, dog poop, and pee smells. Well that and my phone serves as a wi-fi hotspot for them so they can catch a few pokemon. Oh well, at least they are walking.
Now we came home for smoothies and then off to the pool for a swim. And then tonight, they better fend for themselves and let me read or write on my own.
The park across the street from me is apparently some kind of gym so I have been amused to watch the phone carrying peeps. My phone and #1 son's phone aren't able to download the game so we make #2 son take a look from time to time and tell us what he finds. It is an amusing distraction at this time.
I'm not playing it (yet) but I'm tempted to go over to the park and people-watch.
There's a base or gym or whatever at my dog park. Tons of people. This is entertaining by itself.
Exactly. People watching is one of my favorite things so I applaud this new distraction. They are easy to spot with their Pokémon obsessed faces.
