Sigh. The girl I was texting with in Portland finally came clean on why she's been super sporadic the past week or two, she met someone else. Boo. I'm happy for her but sad for me. (Not like we were dating, and not like I thought we'd fall in love, but still, less sexy texting and no chance of weekend fun)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Woo hoo [edit: msbelle]! If it were me, I would start with vacuuming, because it's so satisfying it sometimes keeps me going, and if not, at least it's visibly done.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I would just like to note that the background music at trader Joe's is annoyingly correctly target marketed. I always walk out humming happily to myself and don't notice until later that I've bought twice the items on my list.

Coding and Sleeping

Well, I've worked on a damaged part of the fence with my FIL, done three loads of dishes, put away two loads of laundry, started another load of laundry, did some cleaning in the basement, did some cleaning in the total disaster that is the basement, now I'm off to grocery store, then I'm going to make my wife's favorite dish since she is feeling stressed and maybe get some flowers, while it's cooking, I'm planning on washing the sheets, and after dinner I need to pay some bills. I should end the day with a crushing headache that's already pounding away and with my wife massively pissed at me for reasons I don't fully understand. Fun day.

There was also setting up a new wireless repeater since the old one was being weird and screwing up my wife's Internet connection at the furthest point the house away from the router, but that was a piece of cake.

surely someone can put the sheets in to wash while you are at the grocery store. What are your children doing?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Y'all are so productive. After training I ended up sitting in the gazebo by the barn, chatting with my volunteer coordinator for about 3 hours and now I'm home trying to cool off.

I have a bunch of paperwork to process from training and I need to start reading because SCHOOL STARTS MONDAY!

I worked today until 6, and by 6:35 there were four extra 9 year old boys in my house and now they are planning to play monopoly and eat pizza. They are spending the night. I am already exhausted and it's been 45 minutes. And I work tomorrow, too.

(I mean, I planned all this. It's Dillo's birthday party. But I still don't wanna!)
