Volunteer Training was this morning. We had a big group and it is HOT. I'm done but I'm sitting in the shade and done want to move. Just the idea of getting in my car is daunting. Yes I can put the top down, but it is going to be an oven in there.

Y'all, I have reached peak cat person/introvert status. My landlord is here to work on the tree that blew down in the storm.
I've gone into the kitchen a couple of times to get water, and slunk around corners so he wouldn't see me from the windows. I just do not want to interact.
I'm reading in bed, and there's just a lace curtain, when I see a flash of silver and he's leaning a ladder against the house right outside my bedroom window. So I straight up EEK and roll off the freaking bed and crab scuttle to the bathroom like I'm Walter White and he's the DEA.
Then I dash-slink-scuttle to the front door and dead bolt it, because yesterday he had to use the power strip in the front room for his electric chain saw.
He didn't tell us he was coming by to work on the tree, so I don't even feel bad. MY HOUSE IS WHERE I DON'T HAVE TO PEOPLE. Much less my bedroom, when I'm reading in my scanties with the cats!
At least text and let me know you're planning on coming here. And I still don't know why the heck he needed to get up on the ladder.

ooh, I was about to suggest (too late) lemon vodka. But then I'll drink lemon vodka in just about anything.
You know what's awesome in an overwhelming way? Mountain Dew with lemon vodka. It tastes like a melted alcoholic lollipop. Super refreshing, as your eyes roll back.
Strix, I've done that too. Recently, even. Yesterday. Hiding in my house from workmen prowling about. I need to tell the landscaper to text or call me in advance and stop just showing up. I was on the couch in my underwear eating Cheetos! In front of the patio window! FFS. If my cats didn't alert me by going apeshit whenever someone's outside, they might have SEEN ME.
Shall I go to the Board Game Club tonight, or stay home and continue my "spring" cleaning spree? I've missed the last few meetings, but an actual desire to clean is such a rare thing in me, I feel I should nurture it.
