Go you, Scrappy! That's so cool.

My co-worker dropped off a super-difficult part of the project that's been lagging behind so I could get started on it at 3:30 and promptly skedaddled. But then we lost power at 4 thanks to the storm front blowing through. Early weekend achieved!
I tried going to synagogue tonight, because I felt like I needed it, with everything going on, but it just felt wrong, and I started crying and left. Then I went to Trader Joe's and bought junk food and alcohol. I think I need to find a Conservative synagogue that I like -- this one was Reform, and I was OK with their services on Yom Kippur, but their Friday night services were mostly English, and the few Hebrew prayers had the words changed, or tunes I didn't know, and this really wasn't the night for prayers set to happy jazzy music for me.
I lit Shabbat candles. I feel a little bit more grounded now.
I'm sorry the synagogue wasn't a good fit, Hil.
It would be really nice if Scrappy's show wasn't a few thousand miles away. Laughter good. Seeing Scrappy even better.
Kick ass, scrappy!!
I had a headache all day but am feeling a bit better now. Had a doctor appointment that was a little uncomfortable, but mostly fine. I like my doctor.
And later I'm going to a play with a friend. I wish she had wanted to go tomorrow night but ah well. I have zero plans tomorrow. Need to make some so I don't feel I wasted the whole day, even if it's like, plans for yoga or a movie
I was supposed to be going to a party, but it got cancelled for rain, so I guess I'm going to a protest.
I need to find a protest where I can participate from a balcony or something. Animated crowds overwhelm me these days and I lizardbrain out. But I see the march downtown and wish I was there.
I'm going to a local comedy lab tonight to try out my new set.
Wow, that's awesome! Good luck!

Party, protest, pretty much the same thing.
